Our player will display any caption VTT that you apply. This means that you can easily add captions to your videos to make them more accessible to all viewers. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps of using WebVTT to add captions to your video.

What is WebVTT?

WebVTT (Web Video Text Tracks) is a format used for displaying timed text tracks, such as captions or subtitles, in HTML5 videos. It is a simple and easy-to-use format that is supported by most modern browsers.

Step 1: Access Your .VTT File

To add captions to your video, you will need to have a .VTT file (caption file) ready. This file contains the text and timing information for your captions. If you already have a .VTT file, you can skip to step 2. If not, you can easily create one using a text editor like Notepad or TextEdit.

Step 2: Add the .VTT File to Your Video

Now that you have your .VTT file ready, you can add it to your video following the instructions here https://docs.api.video/vod/add-captions

Step 3: Make Adjustments to Your .VTT File

Once you have your .VTT file, you can make adjustments to the positioning, text color, and other elements of your captions. This will ensure that your captions are displayed correctly and are easy to read for all viewers.
